Tambulani Chayima Nyirenda Lecturer, Department of Government and Management Studies, The University of Zambia
Tambulani Chayima Nyirenda is a Lecturer in the Department of Government and Management Studies at the University of Zambia, where he teaches Policy , Governance and Administration, and Procurement courses. With over 13 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research, he has served as Principal Investigator and Team Lead on numerous baseline surveys, endline evaluations, and programme assessments across Zambia and the wider Sub-Saharan Africa region, working with organisations including UNICEF, UNESCO, CARE International, Plan International, World Vision, the EU Global Gateway, and Amref Health Africa. His research spans governance, public administration, gender and social inclusion, nutrition and health, education and child protection, WASH and livelihoods, and civil registration and vital statistics. Tambulani's work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and as book chapters with Routledge and Lexington Books, Sexual & reproductive healthcare journal, Clinics in Mother and Child Health, BMJ Open and Sage publications, covering topics such as corruption, public-private partnerships, and maternal health. He holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration, both from the University of Zambia, and serves as Secretary General of the Association of Public Administration in Zambia (APAZ).
