Clarence Chongo holds a PhD in African history from the University of Pretoria. He is currently the Head, Department of Historical and Archaeology Studies and former Assistant Dean (Postgraduate Studies) in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zambia. Clarence lectures African and Russian history and has published peer-reviewed journal articles. His research interest revolves around transnational histories of Southern African liberation movements, Zambia’s diplomatic history and Cold War studies. He is also a member of the South African Historical Association (HASA).
